besides it being a chevy. Make sure it gets serviced. Id get rid of that orange antifreeze, flush it and put some green or yellow antifreeze in it. the dexcool SUCKS it will clog your radiator after a while. Make sure you keep a eye on the tranny too and keep it serviced. Overall even though it is a chevy these are pretty strong trucks. (and i dont say that about a chevy very often)

Good trucks with a good track record. Good power, nice ride, lots of room.
The only thing I might add is, make sure you "need" a suburban. If you don't, then don't buy it. If you really want an SUV, buy a Tahoe or Yukon. Suburbans are a pain in the azz to park, to feed.... just everything about them is a pain because they are so big. So, if your a single guy, or married with only one or two kids, I'd not advise getting one. A 4 door Yukon or Tahoe will be much easier on the wallet, and the ease of just driving it.

I absolutely LOVE my 98 Suburban. There is nothing like having all that room. It tows my enclosed trailer like it's made of paper. Rides smooth as glass on the interstate. Gas mileage around town is around 14-15. Never checked it on interstate. Take the 3rd row seat out and you can stuff a small car back there. Once you get used to it, parking and such isn't bad at all in my opinion. Get the 4wheel drive model. To me they ride alot better.
