Question Storing motorcycle in Storage Unit for winter

So I live in New England so I need to store my bike for the winter. I don't have a garage so I need to find an alternative.

Im looking into my local storage facility, and I can get a 5 x 10 unit for 70/month. It has climate control, video security, etc.

Does anyone else store their bike at a storage facility? Anything I am overlooking?

and just in case anyone is wondering I carry full coverage on my bike.

Don't store a Bike, but my father has a couple cars in a local storage facility - they aren't climate controlled, but we have fairly mild winters. Never had any problems. There is another guy in the facility that stores 12 classic cars and just goes up on occasion and takes them for a drive. Pretty cool if you ask me (pretty wild to spend about 1700/month to store cars - for that price you could build a hell of a garage after a few months).

They're nice if you can get one for cheap.

I'm tempted to get a Public Storage, not on the first floor (they're cheaper) and just take my bike in the elevator. I see nothing wrong with it as long as it's not running, and they don't see me.

I have a 10x10 and I pay $65 a month and I see nothing wrong with storing it in a unit

Signed up last night for the unit.

10 x 5 , climate control, first floor, right next to the entrance.

$69.99/ month, first month free. I plan on storing it for 3 months so $140 for 3 months isn't bad in my eyes.

Also bought a trex rear stand yesterday so I plan putting it up on that.

You did well on your contract price. Disconnect/remove your battery while in storage. Be sure to periodically check on your unit...& don't leave your bike in the unit one day past the contract.

I guess a downside of keeping it in a storage unit is you can't work on your bike in it. Ill have to bring it off site to do any winter projects.... I didnt have much planned, really just installing frame sliders...
