Stimulus Check..what are you buying?
The tax refund is a one time payment that does not take away from your 2008 return, it's 600 per person or couple and 300 for each dependent claimed. Above 75K of income, subtract 5% of the amount above 75K from your total rebate. Also certain income does not count in the formula like rental income for one also a number of other things it pretty much needs to be "wages and salary" on your 1040, also other things such as combat pay count.
If you recieved a refund this year it will have no effect on your rebate amount, as all a refund is is money that you should have kept when the gov't [:'(]took too much withholding tax out of your paychecks.
I'll be paying down debt on my bike mostly and buying cheep booz [sm=alcoholic.gif]

Wooohooo!!! Just checked my bank account and the money is therefrom the treasury. I'm adding this to my refund and buying a 2001 GMC Jimmy. Needs a bunch of work but the owner is doing half and I am doing half. I love paying cash for vehicles even if they are old and used. At least I don't stress over a payment.
Would have loved to have spent it on a newer cycle, strippers, hookers, or some other nonsense but the second vehicle is badly needed.

Was thinking of getting myself a Canon Rebel XTi.......even though I should really be throwing that at my massive student loans..........but who wants to pay bills with free money?

Mine will go towards the new roof I need to put on my house.
And the rest goes towards hanging out at the "y."
EDIT - Got mine deposited yesterday. Already half gone on bike parts. Oh well.

Really depends on your definition of better. If what you are referring to is the equivelent of getting 1 or 2 more HP out of an engine or 10 more FPS on computer gaming system...then I say there really isn't much difference. Now, if you tell me that the D40 lets you look through the lens via the LCD screen like the newer model Canons or is a full-frame camera...then you might pique my interest. I understand the Nikon is a little more affordable then the Canon and different egronomics.
For me, personally, it makes no sense for me to switch to Nikon because all of my lenses are Canon. Don't know about Foxy, but he might be in a similar situation.
52" flat screen for my house is my hope! Depends on Nebraska furniture mart runs another 2 years no interest deal. If not i will just pay off some of the stuff i owe on. But if i can get no interst for 2 years i would really like to upgrade the old 27"
