Here is the jist. If a thread has a certian someones name in it and it goes south it will be deleted, never to be seen agian. You dont question the Mafia and their protected people.

That is the thing with just being able to write a response ... nobody can see your facial expressions or hear the tone of your voice. So when newbs who aren't part of the clique get sniped at then it's time to call it quit.

The moderators here do a bang up job. Whether it is time to lock a thread or delete it all together rests squarely on their shoulders. That's in the rules also Nobody is trying to stomp on your right to have fun here and be social. But we are trying to make this a place where any one with a CBR will feel welcome. A lot of peeps don't think everything that's posted is appropriate and I got the PMs to prove it. But they don't dare post up in fear of being called a *****, or worse, have everyone choose up sides and start some stupid forum brawl.

A lot of this is us admins fault. With the crappy conditions of our site we have been very lenient. The stress of wondering if your post will show up has frazzled more than one nerve. But we never intended for Off Topic to turn into the wild west.

All anyone asks is that you think before you post something. If you are calling someone a dick then expect to get slapped by a moderator. Argue the merits ... name calling is just childish.

 

And if it was you being bashed they'd do the same. So are you calling the mods the Mafia? Maybe Havoc ... gotta reign that boy in all the time
