you dont even need $250, I got my scorpion, and its dang good helmet, for $175. Scorpion has a LOT of selection, and their helmets pas DOT and Snell easily. Plus theyre not ugly or generic looking in the least (cirus or hjc, lol)

 

I have a $500 Arai, but also a $100 HJC. I got the HJC for when I knew I was going to be riding after dark. My Aria has a tinted visor.. and anyone that has an Arai knows what pile of crap their visor change system is. Anyway, the quality of the HJC is really good compared to the Arai considering the 400 price difference. Both of them passed the same standards and both are lightweight. In fact, I think the HJC is quieter. But, the Arai fits my headbetter.

You dont have to spend a ton of money to protect your head.

And like already said. Lighten up on the guy. He is just learning. If he does stupid things once hes on the road... then rip on him.

 

What was he doing with it in his yard? Whenever I'm on a bike in my front yard I'm usually stunting it. Downing a bike in my yard isn't too uncommon of a sight at my house :P

 

Being a squid...there is no reason in the world to fully throttle any motorcycle in your front yard...and to do it twice...ugh....i'm going to eat him alive the first time he does something stupid on the street

 

Just like some people can't dance, some can't make a decent marinara, some can't drive some can't ride.

We all can't be good at everything.

His only hope is to know he sucks on a bike and ride accordingly or else he will become a statistic.
