I’m f*ckin stumped. I get a ticket about 2 months ago for my FE kit. The CHP said it was too low, and he couldn’t see it. Today I MacGyver some **** (and I mean using wires to hold up the plate ghetto) and roll over to their local office for a sign off. I get there and the guy laughs and asks what I am doing. I told him about the ticket and he looks at my kit I still had on there. He said what is wrong with it. I told him I don’t know you tell me I’m the one with the ticket. He said he thought it was fine so go home and put it back on and he will sign it off. I go home and I come back and he even has his partner look at it. They both agree it is fine where the FE kit has it placed and sign it off. So now if I am rollin and I get pulled over for the plate again (which just happened this last Sunday but I told him I already had a pending ticket for it so he let me go) can I just whip out a copy of this and say it is legal or what? Cops **** me off.

if it happens again (especially by the same cop) take the ticket to his CO and explain the situation. that way if he starts to give you other bogus tickets then you will be able to show a history that he is not doing his job properly. but sadly alot of "modification" tickets are up to the discretion of the issuing officer. just like a loud exhaust ticket. what might be fine to one cop is way too loud for another.

i guess, atleast you got off the second time without a ticket. sounds like you are getting profiled.
