Soda Or Pop
Ok guys and girls. So which is it. Where i am from Northeastern Missouri we call Soda pop "Soda". I moved to Northwestern Missouri and it's called pop. Used to drive me nuts. Back home if you asked someone for a pop you were likely to get pop'd up side the head. Just curious what was the norm in the rest of the world.
if you want a fruit punch soda thats called "the red" and if you want a grape soda thats called "the purple" everything else is just "drank"... atleast everytime i go into a popeyes chicken thats what i hear
When I lived up in Illinois it was pop. Down here in Florida it's soda. I remember when I first moved down here I called it pop at a restaurant or someplace, and the lady looked at me funny and said, "you're not from around here, are you?"[sm=smiley36.gif]
I usually say what I have or say what exactly I want. I've never seen a carbonated drink (haha) go pop so I dont get that.
Soda is ok, but most people say coke. Which does not me Coca Cola. I dont know why people think it does. Its not even spelt the same.
