Soda Or Pop
We call it a "Soft Drink", as in non alcaholic drink. When I was kid I used to wonder why you Yanks where all getting off on ordinary carbonated water. Sort of figured that was part of the reason why they took the cocaine out of Coke. (Then you sort of confused the issue with Soda Pop), now Pop Rocks where a dead give away.
I lived in northeast PA all my life and it was always soda, then when I moved to northwest OH and the first time I heard pop I about popped the guy in the head just because I had no idea of what he was talkin about.

I am moving to tennessee and it just cracks me up how they call everything coke. Even mountain dew would be called coke. Doesnt make sense to me, but I guess they laugh at me about things too. But cmon, coke is a namebrand. Thats like calling every sportbike made a Honda. I call it pop.
Fountain Drinks, haha, just kidding. I call it pop, but I am from Michigan. i live in Florida now, though, so it get people kind of confused, and they'll be like, you want what, and then I soda.
