so long left foot
ok my dad was hit on his honda shadow back in 04 and it ripped his foot off but the sewed it back on but he has less movement that if they amputated it. now he rides an 07 harley street bob but to shift he just lifts up his leg and shifts up or just pushes down and stuff. pm me if you want any info about it
That's a tough row to hoe, but don't give up hope. As many have said they're doing wonders with prosthetics, and there are hand-operated shifters available. There was a news article some time back about a military pilot who was back in the air after losing a leg. If he can fly, you can ride.
Best of luck to you, and my thanks for the job you are doing.

My advice is to go to another hospital and get a second opinion. I'm assuming you're in a military hospital and may be tough, but look around at private hospitals. There's good doctors and bad doctors.
Sorry going to have to correct you on this one it's not hard at all depending on the ciircumstances since we are operating under the conclusion they were discussing the Army but it makes very little difference it Tricare

sorry to hear man ... don't know if you're into the FJR's but a friend of mine bought one and starting on last years models the Yamaha FJR 1300 has an electronic shift option (FJR 1300-AE) so you can choose to shift with paddles on the left grip. (just in case you don't want to mess with adding one to your bike)
