Go to the courthouse early and get a copy of your police report(you have legal right). That way you know what the cop actually said about the incident.

 

I think your buddy should pay some of your ticket or you should have just maintained your speed and said you didn't see him("tucked in behind windshield")

 

I got pulled over many times, I usually use the same excuse that my bike is overheating and its never happened before and I panicked, the speed helps cool it down. Amazingly it worked over three times, when at idle, my cbr does "seem" to overheat. But then again all the cops that pulled me over were fellow riders, so that may had helped. I found out after they pull me over. Im not trying to push my luck, but if you do stop, get cool with the officer and show him that your not a threat. Im in Atlanta btw..

 

I disagree. When the blue lights come on it's every man for himself. If you don't have the nerve or road to make a break, go get your ticket.
