Default Caught The Bug

Hi all!

I'm Alex, 18, and I am the proud new owner of a cbr600f4.

I'll call this my first bike although technically it's my second.

I took the msf safety course in July and got a 1990 ninja 250 as my first bike August 15th. That same day a cat ran in front of me about a foot in front of me and I looked at it. Just like they say in the msf course, you go where you look....

August 29th I picked up my clean titled 2000 cbr600f4 with somewhere around 19,500 miles on it. Since owning it I've put around 700 miles on it with no accidents.

I absolutely love riding it and I've definitely caught the bug for these sport bikes. The only thing wrong with the bike is that after riding awhile once stopped in traffic the temp gauge goes up and the fan kicks on. Once the fan comes on the idle drops and the bike sputters an dies. The only remedy is to hold the throttle at idle to prevent it from dropping.

I have lots of plans for this bike. It already has a Yoshimura TR-S exhaust, frame sliders, I put on flush mount turn signals in the front, and new bar ends. I also just had new tires and brakes put on. My next project is installing an f4i cluster I picked up yesterday.

Anyways enough of me yapping. Here's a few pics I have.

Interesting windscreen. Kinda like it. GL with your mods. Not sure about your issue. Flush out the radiator if you have not done so already.

I caught a bug this one time.... actually it was more of a beetle. Quite large. I caught it right in the neck. It frickin' hurt!
Then i caught a bee in my helmet.... and one in my pant leg. Catching those bugs kinda sucked.

Regardless... Welcome to the site, man! Sharp looking bike. Name: grinning-smiley-003.gif

Sorry dude, but my bee trumps your fly.
Now if it was a bumblebee... you'd have me beat. Mine was just a regular bee.
A scorpion would beat a bumblebee, though. So if somebody says they had a scorpion in their helmet.... well.... we're all pretty much screwed because a scorpion is just badass.
