L-Twin, its a sick engine design... Well, i guess it is just a V on a 90 degree angle.

Those Ducs sound funny...is it the dry clutch? I must admit, though, they get my blood going...or an Aprilia. [8D]

the dry clutch is what usually makes a rattling sound on Ducati's but unfortunately this one has a wet clutch
Ducatis are just different, more refined. All the details on the monster is what got me, the little things that make it unique. Everything from the quality components to the way the lines are run, down to the quality of the wiring harness. Japanes bikes for example use a very intricate and complex wiring system that uses cheap connectors and much of it looks like its just wrapped in electrical tape. Very well engineered but obvioiusly not pretty. The Ducati's wiring however is amazingly neat and looks like what you would see in a Ferrari rather than an old Honda Civic

its just Italian style I guess

anyway, thanks guys

ORIGINAL: Flip

I like standards and my long term plan is similar. I have an F4... I'd like to buy a used 2000-2001 monoposto Duc 748 as my 'tear around by myself bike', sell the F4, then buy a good commuter/ride chicks around bike like a 919... ah, what a plan she is.
Nice to see the 919 get some love. Good looking bike.
