Snooooowwwwwww!
OK for someone like be, born and raised in Texas, snow is pretty neat seeing as that I have never really lived anywhere to enjoy (or get annoyed) by it. I'm up here in Ct now, and so far I dunno, since 3pm or so we have gotten 8 or so inches. Went out and bought some sleds for the kids and I've been towing them around by rope on my XT through feilds and such. FUN TIMES!!!! For personal satisfaction, I wanted to see what I could do with the XT in the snow and ice. (Kids not attached) I recently studded the tires and had to see what they were worth. I got some speed up and tried and tried to lock it up but really it locked up at about the same point that it would have on dry pavement with the knobby tires I have on. So, in short, I feel totally safe in my travels through snow and ice. Sure I get a few odd looks and such, but I wear it like a badge of honor to stay true to two wheels through it all. As you all know, gear makes the difference. I am warm, dry, comfortable and have good control of my motorcycle so whats not to like? I dare not try this with the CBR but I guess right tool for the right job.

You can always put more clothes/gear on to stay warm but you can't take it all off to stay cool. I remember fondly sweating my *** off simply putting on my gear in the garage before the daily commute. I really don't miss the 100+ degrees daily of riding through the summer in Texas, good god go to a mall and feel like your gonna combust when you step out into the black tarmac parking lot!! OOOOffff Plus the snow makes for a very scenic ride to work on the back-roads and I can gear all the way up any time of the year and be comfortable.

as for the summers, yeah, i know EXACTLY what you mean. this is the best time of the year for riding here, well, except for april, they are about the same. i just love autumn.
Here you go, just took this out the front door... the door pushed back about 2-3" off the top when I opened it. I'd say we got at least 8" so far and more coming but it should end in a few hours.

Snow sucks cause it makes me take my bike apart. If I can't ride it, then I work on it.
Next Project is a total paint job of all plastics the same blue with anti-scratch clear coat so I just stripped all the plastics off her...she's naked!! [
