What is an XT? 4 wheeler? Subaru? Bike? Excuse my stupidity.
XT is an XT225, made by Yamaha. It is a dual-sport. So, more or less, a tamed down and street legal dirt bike. Has turn signals, head light, all that stuff. Really tame, only 20hp if I were to guess. Perfect for woking thin single track trails out in the mountains, super light and manuverable. All in all a fun bike. Absolutely nothing you can break, and if you do, usually only 20-30 bucks to fix. Top speed of 70 or so, the perfect urban combat cycle.

Awesome shocktroop! I managed to get mine out today for ****s and kicks ... no studs yet thou [:@]

What kind of roads are you riding? I know that I wreck the studs on my quad after just a short few miles on asphalt. Also, are you still running the stock tire? If I go ahead with studding the bike, Ill need to replace the rear

AWESOME!! Mines almost an identical twin! What year is yours.....hell, your garage even looks like mine!

Still running the factory tires on mine. I use shorter studs for the more worn-down *****.

Thats a 2000 model and it has just rolled over 4000 miles. Im also running stock tires yet, heres what Im thinkin of getting for winter/studding http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/ti...0806&mmyId=

I have about 2500 1/4"headx1/2"L TEC screws that I plan to use for studding, I know they wont last if I road ride so the bike would have to strictlly say on lake ice

Plan was to get a -1/+3 sprocket setup to try and learn balance point better, but funding is way too tight for me this season [:@]

Edit: LOL, check out this tire!

Thats sick Shock! Wish my dirt bike was street legal. Id stud it up in a second.
We got 3'-4' two days ago. And its still around, due to the below freezing temps we have had the past week and a half. And now they are saying that it will start snowing around four P.M. With over 8' falling by tomorrow morning. With snow showers to continue for three more days. That **** never happens around here! I think my next bike will be a CRF450X for the supermoto summers and the studded iced winters.

I'm so glad to have it cause I don't have to wait until spring to ride, plus its a dirt cheap bike to begin with and insurance is stupid low AND it gets 60mpg. Nothing os off limmits with this bike. Most of all though it keeps me riding.
