Default sick and tired (rant)

so some of you know about my accident last Jan when I got rear ended on the bike at a stop sign... well talked to the lawyer today and almost punched him in the mouth.... 3 months out of work due to this, medical bills up the ***, loss of sleep on many occations, and pain that made my eyes watter.... I'll be lucky if I see anything of my lost wages after the med bills are paid and because of this I have been going from payday loan to payday loan... told him next time I am just going to beat the person that causes me to go down with a bat.... his response was you cant do that they could end up suing you.... I said like it would matter if they end up with a lawyer like you then I wont have anything to worry about...
damned lawyers and insurance companies..... on top of that I had a lousy weekend that was suposed to be for me because it was my B-day but got screwed into doing for everyone else..... then I get so stressed out I tried to quit my job again for the 5th I think time and they still wouldnt let me get out of the parking lot..... so I am still employed (not sure if I want to be)........ I am so stressed and tired of dealing with *** hats that I am about to get violent... I am also getting to the point where I am thinking of totaling the bike just so I can get rid of it...

Sounds like the problem is the TIME it takes to get the $$$. The only thing you can do is yell and scream, but it may not help speed up the process. Sorry to hear about the Medical bills and such, hopefully your injuries won't be with you for life.

But yeah, I'd be pissed too if it were 7 or 8 months and no $$$. I hope it gets better for you soon.

Hmmm, maybe you should just get a new lawyer. I'd also see if this guy has worked for that insurance company before, or if he has a personal relationship with anyone at the company.

At the very least you would easily be entitles to lost wages, lawyer bills, and medical costs. A jury would also add some pain and suffering cash as well.

Your attorney sounds like he blows. Did you pay him up front? I hope not. All personal injury attorneys should only get paid if you get paid.
Call all your medical bill creditors and tell them you want to pay, but can't under advice of your attorney. Tell them that the bills are due to an accident, and a suit is being brought against the insurance company. Tell them if they have any questions about collection they can contact your attorney.
That should get them off your back.
Make sure you get yourself well. Go see all the doctors you need to, just make sure they know up front that your case is due to a motorcycle accident. Once you settle your case, you'll have to sign a waiver saying that you can't hold the person at fault or the insurance company responsible for any further treatment. Basically, once you get that check, you're on your own.
Also, be patient. I got in a car accident in Jan '06, and I didn't get paid until Jan '07. Insurance companies don't like to just fork over cash.

Take a breath, Orangey. You have a lot on your plate to deal with right now, and I know it is hard to do. Sometimes, when you take a mental inventory of your life, it feels like it is one negative after the next, and it can be overwhelming and depressing, but those are the valleys. There are also plateaus and peaks, so you gotta grab your *** and hold on until the good times start toroll in again. Good luck, brudda!

Wots the difference between a Lawyer & a tic?
Ones a blood sucking parasite, the other ones an insect.

I was in an accident (rear-ended) in the fallof 2003. Case wasn't settled 'til spring of 2006.

Lawyers and insurance companies both benefit by dragging cases out.

Hope you heal up Orange.

Dude, I know exactly what you mean.

It's bad enogh you are injured, can't work, and are suffering. But then you have to act it up or the inshurance company tries to weezel out of paying. I mean It pisses me of that I have to go to a therapist to tell him how depressed I feel because of the aftermath of my accident so that I have a medical record of it. Yes I am depressed I cant lift my 4 month old girl because I have no strenght on my left arm, yes it pisses me off that I feel useless because I cant work, and yes it causes psicological anguish that I cant even do 90 situps without my ribs aching like they are going to pierce my skin. Do I really have to bitch and moan about it to a fuc..ing shhrink so that the inshurance company will consider that damages. That and the fact that you have to tell tha doctor that the pain is unbearable so that it will go in the medical report. Yes it hurts, but I dont like to bithch about it. Help me heal and write in the report that I have pain, I dont have to act like a nini so that I get damages compensation.

Oh and the fact that you can't start working because if you do they consider that you are cured and not entitled to damages. I want to start working because I need to pay my bills, even tho I am not fit to do it. I would start working even with pain but then that would void my damages claim. Talk about rewarding the lazy.

Shouldn't the fact that we have x rays with briken bones be enogh for damages???

Sorry about the rant, but as you can see, I feel your pain.
