Should I become a Pharmacy Technician?
Well first off I'm a Senior in High School and was wondering if you guys think it would be a good idea to try to become a pharmacy tech. My brother-in-law is a pharmacist and knows a lot of the local Walgreen's pharmacists and in Indiana you can try and get a waiver to become a certified tech if you get a recommendation from a pharmacist you are working for if you don't have a high school diploma. Walgreen's offer to pay for your training to become a licensed tech so no money involved. I was just thinking of possibly doing this because when I go to collage then I could possibly get a steady job easier. I think you make$9 uncertified and $11 certified so thats a good amountmore than the $7 I get working at a church. Just wonder if you guys think it would be a good thing to try andpursue.

hell ya, work your way up to pharmacist.
top 4 reasons: great pay, access to great drugs, and female pharmacists are usually HOTT, you will also know all the skanks in your town that are on STD drugs

Do it. If you hate it, you can quit anytime you want. Most kids coming out of highschool get minimum wage jobs. You would be a step or twoabove that. One warning, you have to deal with the public and they are f_cking crazy, annoying, stupid, loud, ugly, and potentially stinky. Godbless you...

sounds like a pretty good job dude, definitly a step up from $7/hr.... seriously think about goin to college though, and if your the person that says i dont have the money to go to college, well trust me.... there are plenty of federal/state/ and private funding to go to college.... ive been an intern for the NCDOT for the past two years makin $15/hr through NC State Univ.... and it will get better once i have the degree.... just put 4 years of hard work into college and you might just be livin really comfortably after that.... but im sure as you know, God will lead you where ever is best for you.... pray about it and see which path he wants you to follow
