If it was 15 years ago, and the bike really has increased in value then he has every right to sell it for what it's worth.

The bike should sell for market value no matter who it's going to

I like the looks, but if you are gonna get another bike, make it very different from a sportbike.

The little Guzzi is really different, its very small, handles well, it sounds great to. they have a linked brake system (one front disc & rear brake are linked). suspension is very firm though, plus riding position is painfull, but there very easy to work on. Plus I know the bike inside out, having owned it before. I guess that was the initial attraction when my mate asked if I wanted it. I think he was giving me 1st option, before selling it on.
This isn't it, but it gives you an idea of wot their selling for.
