Should I
Just got off the phone from a friend down the coast, I sold him this bike over 15 years ago, its mostly been sitting in his garage, no registation, but he keeps it covered & runs it a few times a week. Now the thing has become a "Classic" which means he wants twice as much for it. Its not in perfect condition though, but its all do able fix (cosmetic stuff), it will need new rubber as well. Its an 81 Moto Guzzi Monza, not fast, but sweet in the twisties, with a crippling riding position. He wants $5000 (aus) for it.Its not like I need another bike, & my wife will kill me, Its tempting though. wot do you think?

RE: Should I
If it was 15 years ago, and the bike really has increased in value then he has every right to sell it for what it's worth.
You're all wrong, and that's a fact. The bike should sell for market value no matter who it's going to, get over it. The OP lost any rights to special treatment when he sold it, he didn't want it anymore and BLAM....it's gone.

RE: Should I
Let him sell that "classic" to someone else if he think he can get $5k for it.Classic cars are great and old homes can be nice, but personally, I think most old motorcycles suck. Maybe that's a bit harsh but bikes justkeep getting better and better in both style and power.
