my scorpion was little tight as well at the beginning. now fits like a glove. i get a lot of air flow through it so i dont sweat too much on hot days. and love the fog free lenses.

 

Nah I am an hour from Green Bay, Oshkosh is like one and a half (I live in Oshkosh only when I am in school). Team Motorsports in De Pere (just south of Green Bay) has both Icon and Scorpion though, and my girlfriend lives in De Pere so I am there somewhat often..

I will have to try them on this weekend and then make the decision

If I go with the Black EXO 700 Engine I will prolly just go with a dark smoke screen instead of mirrored, don't have to worry about the scratches then either.

 

So like... Manitowoc?

Nah lol, De Pere is practically the same city as Green Bay, they kinda touch lol. Its like 45 mins north of Oshkosh on 41 and 45 mins north of Manitowoc on 43. I am from Michigan though

 

Have you hit any rather large bugs or anything? I heard they scratch super easy, even on bugs.. hmmm

I am not sure if mirror would look any good on the exo700 engine in black anyways.. wish a local dealer had that specific helmet I could try to see if theyd let me see what it looked like with the different shields

 

i hit couple bees at about 70, they scared the crap out of me. i used water and microfiber cloth.
i think the mirror will look sweet on yours, just dont pick any wierd colors like green or red.

 

lol nah Id go just silver. The people at the store I try to deal with are super helpful, if I bought the shield at least there they might let me check if I like mirror or smoke better. Thanks for the input on the bees :P, that is what I was worried about is big bugs.


Edit: Is that silver mirrored the Everclear one($50), or just the regular ($35). And do you know if its worth the extra $15 for the everclear? $50 for that is gonna make me cry :P

 

I wanted a scorpion exo1000 but got a 700 cuz i, like you, am on a budget and it is by far and away the best helmet ive worn. I have a kbc, used to have a bell that i never wore, have tried on other friends helmets and the 700 is the most comfortable, has the best airflow, and is the quietest out of them all. I was kind of concerned about how quiet the 700 is but its actually pretty nice to have the bike drowned out for long rides and stuff. You can still here anything youd need to on the road so its perfect. I just hated the stupid designs of the 1000 so i didnt bother dropping the extra money on one but i couldnt regret it less. Id say get the 700. I have a silver shield on mine as well and its maintained its condition way better than my kbc's iridium shield as well. Ive heard decent things about the icons but i always hear they have shoddy quality and arent that durable so ive stayed away from them.
