ok, whatever bike you like is a matter of preference. if you want to hear a pros oppionion i would suggest going to your newstand and picking up the may issue of Two Wheels Only, i've been trying to locate the article in my mag on www.two.tv which is thier website.. but i cant find it and i dont want to search it for too long. they have an article where these 4 guys ride from london to lyon france. and they take a CBR1000RR, GSXR1000, R1, and the ZX10R. while they're riding they're switching bikes so everyone rides each bike. and they break it down to who liked what, and they showed all the stats on each bike as well as the frame design. i would highly suggest going and getting this issue.
Edit: oh ya, and the honda and suzuki were the best they thought.

R1's also had the battery problems when they stuck it in there sideways, subsequently battery leakage in the side mount caused corrosion problems. Then they went to the current battery which costs $180.
I beg to differ in the comment on Honda performance in regards to the other bikes. If you consider Hondas long race history it should be considered that when
honda gets into a sport they usually do very well if not dominate. Incorporate performance, with handling, and reliability and Honda reigns all the way~!
I too like suzukis except for the tail, yet would not want one given Im Honda to the core!

CBRCorey, I'm not offended at your post, everyone has their own opion and you have the right to share it. I just had to disagree with the comment about yamaha being ahead of honda. Suzuki on the other hand is dominating the AMAs right now, Ben Spies has won 6 and Mat Mladin has won the other 2, but honda has finished 3 and 4 in almost every other race. I like the GSXRs and I like the hondas, but you will never see me riding on a yamaha or a kawasaki I just dislike both of these bikes.
One other thing, when I was at the AMA race in Elkhart lake CBRFREEK put his 600RR on the dyno after I talked him into it and he pulled 104.6 at the wheel. There were 2 or 3 kawasaki 636s that only pulled 101 or 102 at the wheel. All of these bikes were piped, but other than that I don't have anymore info. The R6s were just breaking 100 at the wheel with the same mods. They are all pretty close, but CBRFREEK would have probably won the shoot out if it wasn't for the triumph 675 that pulled 109 but thats beating his bike by 75 cc's. This is the type of thing that can go on forever, but if you want to buy something other than a honda go for it, I won't stop you and 6hundred_doubleR that is one sweet looing bike.
