I meant with part 2 of what I posted. EzPass lanes on the turnpike have swing arms. Pretty sure trying to do 60 thru one, even with a pass will result in a clotheline. Same with ridin the line. I suppose you could swerve around the swingarms. But its easier to just go to a manned booth. Even without any cash on ya, I'm pretty sure they'll simply take your info and bill you later.

And I've seen many tolls where the highway patrol is just sitting there, waiting for toll runners.

 

For sure. Trying to blaze through those lanes would be universally stupid In IL the iPass lanes don't have any booths at all. So you can get through without stopping or slowing if you really wanted to.
