Ruckus is an online free music server....kind of like itunes but free and legal. You have to have a school email address (.edu) to sign up, meaning you have to be a student, faculty, staff, or alumni. The downloads are all free but you can't import them to itunes or anything to burn them onto CDs or put on an ipod (unless you pay like $20 or something).

Im only writing this b/c they are going to shut down of they dont get a bunch more users so everyone sign up!! I've been using it for like 6 months and its awesome.....no spam or adware or anything. Check it out:

im not a student so i cant help you, but i think there is a DRM cleaner program out there that can probably remove the drm from the mp3 you download from there so you can use them on itunes and burn cd's
