Default Niacin (Vitamin B3)

Alright well I was really just wondering if anyone uses this on a daily basis. I have heard some good things about it and some bad and I dont want to start taking it if its going to F*ck me up inside.

The reason for taking it is this. I read some stuff on Niacin about it opening the cappilaries to increase blood flow. I lift constantly and increasing blood flow would naturally help in repairing muscles right?

I also take NO2 and sometimes use Whey Protien as well.

Let me know what you guys think.

Well, I am a fellow lifter and from experience the niacin does just that, dilates the capillaries which are usually at the skins surface. Its not like the NO2 or NoXplode that opens the veins and arteries to increase bloodflow and recoup time. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to take it, I just never really felt any benefits from using it. Also, do not take more than the recommended doseage, as your skin will turn beat red and flush/ itch like crazy.. About screwing with your insides, I doubt it would, look at vitamin B6 and B12 on the back of a red bull can, a ton more than the recommended daily. The body will just get rid of the excess thats not used or needed. Better yet, stop in to your local GNC or vitamin world and ask, they usually are pretty knowledgeable about this stuff..

well I was thinking about going into GNC but most of the people I see working in there dont really look like the type to know all kinds of info about all kinds of vitamins and stuff. Cept maybe a few select people.

Niacin will make you crap your brains out!!! B12 Complex liquid does the same thing. Its good for you, just upsets ya til you get used to taking it and your body is used to having an excess of it.

Take huge doses and you can pass a drug test fairly easily. That is as much as I know.

It is in 'extreme shock' an energy drink you'll see at the gym. I've had it and the niacin makes my ears burn. It is a strange experience when you have your helmet on and you can't rub your ears.

I think Creatine will help you with what you want, it keeps the muscles hydrated, so they should be better at flushing out the bad metabolytes and bringing in the good.

Edit:
sometimes use Whey Protien as well
ALWAYS have protien...like 300-400 grams a day total (including food), Morning, before/after workout, and right before bed. Every three hours to maintain a positive nitrogen balance.THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SUPPLEMENT!!!! I use Iso-pure, but there are alot of good ones out there.

+1 for creatine. My new protein shake has it and it has made a world of difference along with keeping the protein up.

i take niacin on a daily basis..

vitamins as follows..

morning workout, breakfast, bottle of water w vitamins,

fish oil,
vitamin B complex (all B vitamins/ and niacin)
vitamin C
and Centrum Multi vitamin.

now i drink alot of water, and niacin will turn your pee a neon green/yellow color, but what niacin does is flushes your body of toxins.. thats why your surface veins or cappilaries or however u spell that, open up, your body is collecting all the garbage in your kidneys/liver and skin (largest organ you have) and niacin is evicting its ***.

i like niacin but like Someone else up there said, it will make your skin flush (turn red) if you dont drink enough water, but its nothing a bottle or 2 of water cant handle...

BTW i recently started working out again in an effort to quit smoking cigs, (never putting grass down) and man i dont even want a cig when i am done working out, not to mention i feel like a fat bastard bc i cant even run a mile without wanting to puke or feeling like my heart is going to blow up.

im taking it slow and gradually getting myself back into shape..

NOTE TO EVERYONE ELSE its alot harder to get in shape than to get fat.. lol..
