Default Road kill cafe

I was riding down a twisty road "slightly" above the speed limit beside a wooded area and a river. I don't know what possessed the large prarie chicken to spook and take off...or if it was deaf or visually impaired. Anyways it flew directly into my path and I struck it. I pulled over immediately to inspect for damage cause it hit hard. It cracked the right lower on my Hurricane where it struck. The bird was about 50 feet behind me on the road so I walked back to it and picked it up by the wing... Just then a cop pulled up and said "what happened?" So here I am with the bird in one hand and a blood stained bike behind me... Oh I just hit the bird... nothing to worry about officer...and he says" it would be a shame to waste such a bird" Ok.... So I took it home and cooked the breast meat. It was delicious. Anybody else eat from the roadkill cafe?

No different than a cow getting a steal rod thru its brain before being slaughtered.

The only bad is the animal's blood can spoil the meat if it gets hit hard enough and it spreads.

It broke your fairing, you ate its chest. Seems fair.

I took out a seagull once when it flew into my shoulder. I didn't think to go get it and eat it though.
