Sorry to hear it man its always sad to loose a fellow rider. and I cannot say I know how you feel. but I do understand it.. loosing a friend is hard. I hope you can take something from what happened to him and turn it into a positive. like I did when I had a fellow rider go down on a group ride I was on. I have drastically changed the way I ride and have dedicated my time with trying to be a better roll model to new riders. I feel that if I take something from it than the loss was not in vein. I hope you work though this with as little pain as possible and try not to let it ruin your love for riding..
I send my condolences to you and his loved ones.....

he just got it like 3 weeks ago ,2005 600rr .he didnt have plates yet , thats crazy
The 600cc sportbike works for some people as a starter bike, but it probably isn't a good idea. It makes me sick when I hear about newb dying or getting hurt in their first months of riding.

Out of respect to your friend and you, I am going to make sure whenever someone asks my opinion about what bike to start with I forcefully tell them to start on on a cheap used250 ninja or a small cruiser. In the end, I think we will have better, safer riders out there with happier families.

Wake up call to everyone. Respect your rides and be careful. Sorry for your loss. I had a great friend kill himself just after high school in his cage because he didn't respect what it was capable of doing.

I'm with you FF, a 600 sportbike is not the best choice for anewbie.

I'm sorry you lost your friend Tank. RIP.

So sorry to hearof your friend's accident.A Loss like this isn't something you get over in a day or a month. Sometimes it will haunt you for years to come or forever. I will pray for Tom and his family.

Sorry to hear about this, hopefully someone else will read this and rethink their decision on what a first bike should be.
