Riding in the wind
Love it?
Hate it?
Never tried it?
I was out in it yesterday (35mph+) and noticed there wasn't another bike to be seen anywhere. Personally I think riding in adverse conditions only makes you a better rider. Like rain, I don't stop riding if it's wet. I do draw the line at riding on actual ice though.
Soooo......your thoughts?

I don't set out specifically to go riding in the wind, but it doesn't deter me in any way. I never get back from a ride, trip, or comute and think, geez that wind was something else. Well, the only time I think about the wind is if I'm passing an 18 wheeler where the wind is kicking and the wash from the rig hits you wierd.

Wind sucks *** but I cant control it.

I don't like riding in the wind with someone on the back. When you are alone, you can lay down on the tank and control the bike. When someone is on with you, you can't get out of the wind.
I know hardcore riders will disagree (a/k/a Jared
) but I see no reason to tempt fate. I have, will, and dont have a problem riding in adverse conditions (up to a point) but will avoid it at all costs if possible. Enough little gremlins trying to take us down in perfect conditions much less adding earth wind and fire to the mix. I dont need no stinkin tests thank you very much.

I rode in pre-hurricane wind gusts on my 250 when I had it. Since I was a new rider at that time, I learned how to countersteer!
On my F4i- the thing was a tank- so the wind didn't do much.. On my RR tho, it throws me around.. Does it bother me?
Not in the slightest.
It is a bit annoying when the wind throws my head around tho- it gets to you after a while.
LOL @ RCRs comment..
