Replacement Cell Phone Question
So I've had my Nokia 6255i forever and really do like it. It's been thru everything and has been looking pretty sad these last few months. Well, after yesterday, the keys are officially doing what ever they want...or don't want. I looked at the lineup offered my my service provider and am not very impressed. So I went to Ebay, and of course! There everywhere.
Now my question is, if I buy one of these used phones, can it be reprogrammed to take the place of my broken phone? I don't want to go out and buy an "outside" source phone and not beable to use it.

RE: Replacement Cell Phone Question
Yeah unlocked CDMA phones work on any CDMA network but there's a catch
Your best bet with CDMA is to get a phone that is sold exclusively to work the carrier you use becuase some carriers (such as Verizon and Metro PCS) won't even let you use an unlocked phone on the network if it's not a phone they sell... however you can get an unlocked CDMA phone to work on a CDMA network you just have to get the company to agree to put it on there for you... if you're company is already saying they'll do it then that's fine just make sure the phone you're buying is unlocked
Its not that hard to do but CDMA phones requires reprogramming of certain inputs physically in the phone in order for it to work on the network
