yeah flight 800. jet fuel (which is nothing more than more finely filtered diesel fuel) doesn't explode if it's sitting in a tank. it must be aerosolized (sprayed) to be flammible. you can take a blow tourch to it and not catch it on fire. ask me how i know...

edit:

TWA flight 800. It was that 747 that blew up for no reason over long island. apparently it was caused by a fautly FQIS in the fuel tank which doesn't supply enough current to create a spark. If it does create enough current to spark, a circuit breaker would pop. if the circuit breaker doesn't pop, a bus fues would blow. Somehow all of those safety systems failed, the laws of physics ceased to exist, and the airplane exploded.
