Default rear tire hip hop

Rear feels like a nail in tire but not all the time, only sometimes.
My opinion:
Best case scenario--flat spot
Worst case scenario--wheel bearings

Any ideas where to check

Mind you, I have a 5500 mile ride in a few days...few means reallllll soon

Don't really understand the symptoms, but my best guess as I understand it would be to check chain slack, squared off tire, out of round tire, out of balance, out of alignment, etc...hard to say.

ya sounds lik eu need to check out the rear.. all the adjustments and tire.. if the tire is old and such get a new tire and make sure you align it correctly if you do it yourself, also check your chain and things, did u tighten your axle nut to tight last time, because if you go to far you can crush the bearings and make their life very short, check that all out, not that expensive for new bearings, go get a new tire, slap some new bearings in there adjust your chain and see what happends

The road-attacks have 7k on them but still have 2-3k left of tread. The chain was tightened about 3 weeks ago (not much riding since) and I do remmeber checking and rechecking all the nuts and that went fine. The tires have 40-55% interstate riding on them so I and sure they've taken a beating in the middle. I don't wanna replace them now and have to replace them when I get to cali but I wish their was an easy way to determine if it was just the bearings. I know what eventually happens as time goes on with bad rear wheel bearings (**** locks up and becomes very wobbley)

Less I had a lift or stand I don't know if I would be able to give you a 100% answer. It feels like it while riding but with bike parked I don't think I'de be able to determine that

Yup I adjusted the chain a couple hundred miles ago and it should be fine, I made sure to leave a little slack in it.

I religiously lube/wax the chain as well as cleaning it--cuz it looks good when it's cleaned
