Default Rear brake, use it or not?

Ok who uses their rear brake like they should or is it just added weight on your bike?

I used to not ever use it much because I don't like sliding around on the rear tire, but the more and more I ride hill country the more I got used to using it while entering turns or tap it to slow my roll mid turn. I don't like getting on the front too much before a turn since it brings the front end down. Since I started using it more while twisty riding, I started to use it normally in conjunction with the front on daily riding.

It's there, so I may as well use it, especially when I'm stopped on an incline.

I come from dirt bikes. I use it all the time. Especially when I need to make a quick turn around.

The bike feels more stable when I use it, so i use it evry time I brake. Seems to settle down the suspension.

I try to use it more than my front. If you lock up your front or put too much pressure on it you start fish tailing. Even if the back locks up you still have control.
