Default Razor's edge

I rode past an accident scene today and to my dismay one of our own had gone down. Judging by looks of the bike I think it's safe to say he didn't make it. I was hoping to come up with something profound to post after reflecting on what I had seen and all I can really offer is the truth. Everyday we gear up and set out we ride the razor's edge. We flirt with danger merely by leaving the driveway. I lurk the forums coming across " go fast this" and " out run that" and it troubles me. There are more than enough ways for us to leave this earth on two wheels without being stupid. So with that please be smart and safe, pray for our fallen, and may everyone have a great riding season.

Moved here as the rider isn't/wasn't a member of the Forum that we know......
I grieve for him, as you do.

So very true man. We get articles in the news here about once every couple weeks of an accident, some are foolish running from cops, others are just wrong place and wrong time.

There's only one optimistic solution to reduce these tragic numbers for the ones who want to go fast, and that's to get those bikes to the track! IMO It's much safer, and there is no way there can be a "wrong place at the wrong time" situation.

Unhappy Fallen rider

Tuesday 0740

driving to work on a country lane and came across an accident that had just happened.........

1 lorry, 1 car & 1 bike

i joined the other 2 who were doing CPR on the biker until the ambulance arrived. He didn't make it.

Car driver has been arrested for dangerous driving!

A fellow biker killed by the stupidity of a car driver!

the scene and his face keeps going through my head, possibly I think as I rode down the same road the day before.

My feeling go out to the bikers family......

Bugkiller

BE SAFE - if its on the road its trying to kill you is my philosophy!

As JP pointed out, we are attempting to be a place where Honda riders of all ages can drop in and feel at home, where you can get advice, give advice and generally have a good time.
Enjoy what we have to offer, and send me a PM if you need anything.........

BUGKILLER

NEVER A GOOD THING, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DO YOUR BEST BUT THE INJURIES ARE TOO SEVERE.
Thoughts go out to the family and friends, and may the rider rest in peace.
I've attended two funerals in the past three weeks. Both riders killed by the stupidity and carelessness of others.
