It's therapy... tho my gf hates the time its stealing. Just minor annoyances when I come across something that was hidden. I'd have grabbed the bike anyways for the price.

But it would have helped to know bout this stuff earlier. I'm tired of walking over to Pepboys every other day to fix the new discovery. Be nice to have bought everything in one bulk trip

Nah, it just meant I had to go find her a hobby too. She's now into photography (thanks to her bday gift), leaving me plenty of bike time. Even have an arrangement for our lunch / dinners together: she gets a 15 minute head start to the restaurant in her VW Beetle. And I'll usually have gotten the table by the time she gets there

In all seriousness it is therapy of sorts. My work ethic is the same way: keep twisting, pulling and digging at a problem till I get a solution. Thing is the only reward for solving the problem at work is I keep my job another day.

And the thing that gets under my skin in anything are problems caused by neglect / apathy / laziness (example: throwing in an amplifier, leaving the next tech to rerun the lines). The bike is sound. Just previously owned by someone who didn't make the effort to watch and check whoever she let work on it.

jgos929: I think its time you go back and reread the thread. and try to reinstall the filter between your brain and fingertips. Kuro really isnt complaining about the condition of the bike. im sure he looked at the bike long enough to realize it needed a fair amount of work. his major gripe and the main reason for the thread is to point out the excessivly moronic tendencies of lackluster riders who dont maintain a machine that we all feel it should deserve.

i also think his covertly inserted BACK OFF needs to be brought up again at full attention.

Kuro: Keep up the good work and post lots of pics with your progress. i am interested to see end result.

^+1 Reading comprehension test required. Good work Kuro.
It is a labor of love ,sweat and tears to bring a machine back from the brink... Tie wraps, self tapping screws and mechanics wire have no place on a well maintained machine!

Quit whining and get on to some more sanding imo, Kuro. From your incident with the tracks I know you've got plenty of fairing repair and sanding/painting to do again! heheheeeee

You should go back and read the thread my friend. If he wouldn't have purchased the piece of shyte bike for $500 then this thread would have never been started. If he would have said people who dont take care of their stuff really **** me off then that would have been fine and I would agree but no. He said I paid $500 for a bike and it hasn't been taken care of boo freakin hoo. He's clearly complaining about the bike he purchased and the shape it is in. And on top of all that now I read on another thread that its already been wrecked !!! So how bout you BACK OFF and think before you type and do a lousy job of sticking up for someone. Kuro is a big boy this aint the first time me and him have disagreed.
