Any more then 4 bikes makes a ride harder as you are always waiting on someone. Then no one can decide what they want to eat later in the day. Usually in groups, I split out and continue to ride further away from home as the other riders seam to get scared of being to far from home.
OK, who needs gas now? OK, who are we missing now? OK, who wants to eat? UT OH.....that guy does not ride 4-lanes....he's scared of them. UT OH...that guy can't find his keys. OH BOY...that guys bike just fell over because he's an idiot. Jeeeeezzzzzzzzzz-us..that dumb SOB almost hit me....who thought him how to ride?
It sucks!

Those are prolly the most!! bloody annoying things about group rides !!!
Give me open road , clear ahead and behind ......and I only need bother as to what my bloody misses wants while riding .... and chit , she is bad enough , ...
Some say that there is extra safety in riding in groups ? , well bugger me!! , I will gladly take my chances by my self thanks ...lolol
Errrr....Well.... Ok.............there's an old saying.
If your not the lead dog, the scenery never changes.
OK, then...I'll ride caboose with you gals. LOL
Edit: CBRclassic, I just don't trust those other riders. My ridding buddy and I use to rub elbows and bang side cases in the twisties years ago. We never pull out to pass unless the other guy, who is on the outside and can't see, can make it. It's trust. I have ridden with other guys that drop down a gear or two and go for it. As they drop down I do too and go for it only to find a huge truck in my path and have to grab a huge hand full of binders to get back in. WOW! You need to trust the other guy. You can't find that in a group.
More edit: When passing, we always move to the outside to let the other bike in. We leap frog. Trust I say. When riding with unfamiliar riders they have left me out to dry. I have almost smacked into the rear of their bikes after a pass, Very scary, Very scary.
When ever we have a group ride, it seams that someone always takes a ride through the tulips. Then they blame it on me because I am up front setting my pace. The argument is, who the hell was twisting your right wrist? Not me bumbass.
