Default Radar Detector...

Just bought a radar detector, cobra XRS 9530, i havent opened it yet because it was like $150 at best buy when I can get it for like $100 anywhere online. Anyone used any of the cobra series or this particular one, I cant find any reviews on it.

These things work if they are not using Laser based guns..and if you are not the only one on the road.

Most of the time if you are riding on an otherwise non busy road..these things will light up just in time to tell you you're about to get a ticket.

Mostly true, but I did have one save me when I was the only one on the road. The cop just pulled the trigger when he thought I was in range but I wasn’t my detector went off, I slowed down, he shot again an I wasn’t speeding. So don’t rely on them but they can save you every now and again.
Mine worked great, but I don’t use it any more because I never speed... [sm=innoc.gif]

they say valentine 1 or escorts passpot 8500 are the best but there are still really good radar detectors out there for less than 400 bucks... cobra makes some great high end stuff... its the low end (less than 100 dollar) crap you waste your money on
