Default Race across Australia on CT110 Postie bikes.............on dirt!

Hey Guys,

In case you might be interested, there is a 'race' across Australia on at the moment where about 10 or so guys are going from the eastern most point Byron Bay to the western most point, Steep Point on Honda CT110 Postie Bikes. Just about the entire 5000 plus kilometer route is dirt/desert country.

The Fly trace site to see the rider's positions is Hardcore Coast to Coast Postie Race 2012 - Multi Tracker View
For this site, make sure you click satellite in the top right corner to see the terrain they are covering.

The Adventure riders thread is coast to coast posties - Page 91 - ADVrider

I'm just an interested onlooker, but am in gobsmacked awe of the riders!

Cheers, SB

Thanks Pacemaker - but you are not quite right!

This is 'organised' by members of the ADV club and although there is a substantial donation to the Royal Flying Doctor Service by all participants and crew it isn't the Postie Bike Challenge

The PB Challenge for 2012 starts in Perth and runs to Broome between 1st to 10th of September.

Hardcore Posties are a totally 'different' group.

Cheers, SB

Yeah your right, but anything over 100 clicks on a postie bike is Hardcore. Mind you the resale value of ex postie bikes is enviable.
I'm going to a motorcycle cafe on Sunday & if I remember I'll take some pics of some customised postie's, From memory one is a cruiser
