Question about a trade of vehichles
Alright guys, I have a guy wanting to trade me my Jeep for an 05 GSXR 1000. Now, before you stone me to death, I'll still have the Honda. I just don't think I can pass this deal up. But, here is where my question comes in. He says it is not yet paid off, but, if we make the trade, it will be by then and we can have something notarized and the bank will send me the title in the mail. Question is, has anyone else done this? Could it be a scam? Are there any specific questions I should ask? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I don't want to let the guy drive off in my Jeep to have thebank come impound the bike cause the guy didn't pay.Let me know guys and gals!

RE: Question about a trade of vehichles
i agree but i am curious about something ... no offense but why would the guy want to trade a 05 gsx-r 1k for your 92 cherokee. i know your truck has some work done to it ut it doesnt seem like an equal value trade . again i could totally be wrong and your jeep could be worth more but it just doesnt feel like it

RE: Question about a trade of vehichles
It's not an equal value trade, and we are both aware of it. He just wants to get rid of it and wants a Jeep. At least that is what he says. We'll be meeting up Saturday to look over each others rides, but, we already decided that if we like the rides, we're going to wait 2-3 weeks till the title shows up from his bank. He said he just made the last payment. So, we'll see.
As to the Jeep, it is worth about $3-4 stock, but, it's got over $4000 into it.

RE: Question about a trade of vehichles
I know, but, he wants another Jeep already set up. He's got a wrangler Rubicon on 36 inch tires, and, he said he's looking to swap his bike for a Jeep for his wife. I'm going to test ride the bike this weekend, and, we'll be waiting till the title shows up to do the switch.
