The clutch disengages, my feet leave the ground. I putt ever so cautiously through the back of my subdivision. First gear,five grand, 18mph; second gear, two grand, 22 mph. Hmm, Decisions, decisions. what's gonna **** off my neighbors the least?
It doesn't matter, everyone knows where I live, (only guy around 40 who rides "one of those"), I turn left out of the subdivision...

Farm fields. The occasional jogger. No cars. A mile long staight to the first stop sign! I slowly wring her out through four gears, finally hearing that glorious exhaust note i've waited all winter for, before backing down to the "Stop Ahead" sign. Again I turn left, aware of the fact that I am now "commuting" to my job in the City on my CBR, and that the first 20 miles of my 40 mile commute are on some of the twistiest, gnarliest roads Wisconsin has to offer. It is then I remember that it's only May, and that the road is cool in the morning Shadow...
