And that smell of racing fuel, alchohol (fuel), rubber, nitrous,theroar that seems to get into your soul, etc....... Gives me the goose bumps......

 

Yeah that smell is awesome. In the stand you mainly just smell rubber, but on the tracks behind the staging area its a sweet sweet smell, and I mean that literally as well as figuratively.

Is this show another 10.5 class? That seems to be All Out ever does. Cool picks and I am sure it was a good time. Probably alot of dicks trying to get on camera?

 

I believe it was a 10.0 class. There were a few 9s and some 8s, but I think they pick the closest 16 together and there just isnt enough 8 or 9 second cars out there to make it the closest cluster. You would be surprised too, I didn't see any imports. The closest and only one was a Porsche and it got smoked by some American muscle.

I didn't see anyone lusting for the camera, I mean when they pointed them at the crowd they would go nuts, but nothing extreme. We were standing behind all the winning cars as they lined them up and interviewed the drivers (after the first round of elimination, 8 cars left) so we should end up getting in the background. My dad and his boss presented the Napa toolchest to the winner in the winners circle and Rich turned to them and asked their names etc. So my dad should be on at the end of the episode if they don't cut it out.

 

I would like to know this as well.

 

There are two different types of Pinks events. Head up is where only 2 people show up and they race best of 5 for titles. There is so much bickering in those events though, drivers complaining they want 15 lengths to start etc. Then there is all out, they take 400 cars and choose the 16 with the closest times to make the competition as competitive as possible and do head to head eliminations until the last two remain. Then they do best of 3 for $10,000. All out events are much better to watch IMO.

 

I hated the show. So much sandbagging going on, no one wanted to win by any margin or the other guy wanted 10 car lengths and have the other guy pull his NOS and tie his shoe laces together. It was a joke.

Hope they change things up this year and I might watch it.

 

Looks like a real good time!!! I would love to go to something like that.
