Ok, so I've been looking at some DSLRs and I have seen the Nikon d40 and the Canon Rebel XT; both are about $600, and they have been recommended as good cameras. I'm not a pro, but who is to say I couldn't be? Picasso couldn't paint without a paintbrush could he?!?
I'm going to get some more advice and read some more reviews. Meanwhile, if you guys want a good site http://www.dpreviews.com has some hella good reviews on cams, very detailed.

Oops forgot about my pic. I was driving and it was a 15sec shutter so i wasnt driving slow. Another pic you can see me braking and i almost nailed the poll

And I love the Running photo and "fight" photo from you Kiker. I have no idea how to accomplish that affect but it's definitely cool. I especially love the intensity in the runners faces.

The hurdling picture i took last weekend, I graduated from Lehigh two years ago so the Lehigh guys in the pictures are good friends of mine, I think so far that's my favorite picture, it reminds me of an easier time :-D
