I love the long exposure pics, like the one with the traffic lights, and the pool shot. Of course, who wouldn't also love Niquie's self portraits?

I'm still debating what kind of cam I want, whether it be an advanced or a DSLR. Any advice?
My Canon XTI400D is nice. 10 mega pixels is pretty good. more megapixels isn't always better though. Eventually you start getting deminishing returns. you can buy them with a generic lense for about 700 or 800 or so. Very reliable and one of the lower priced DSLR's out there (although far from the cheapest).I've had mine about a year and it's been great! Total, with everyhing included in my package (including some things not shown in my picture) was about $1,500

I'm also an aspiring amateur photo junkie .. I'll have to try and dig up a few to contribute when I get a chance.

In the meantime, not mine, but love the photo:

Personally im a canon guy i have an XT so id say the canon A series or SD series. Its not as much the equipment but the guy behind it. A pro good own us BAD with just a P&S and youd have the new 1DsMkIII for 8k and 50mm 1.0L.

Personally my digital era started with a Kodak P&S 1.3mp.

Megapixels dont really matter they just allow you to print bigger sizes if you do decide to print.

i really need to get a nice camera. i love photography. i took it in highschool as a "easy A" and ended up loving it. actually learned alot that stuck w/, and plays a role in pics i take such as "lines to draw interest". i could take photos for a living . if i could work for national geo i'd be happy as hell!

i think my pics look pretty damn good for what im working w/. people always ask what lense im using and what not, lol. its always the same reply...."its a p.o.s. pentax, lol"
