Fala se Portugues, Spirit ?
It's still spoken extensively in Mozambique, about 6 hours north of us.
I can't get the hang of Viet tho' - have to go to Havoc for lessons.
If we had a decent Viet restaurant, I'd be sure to try Pho, though, if X reckons it's that good.............

I never had Pho, but I will try and find some this week.

This isn't very easy to make at home, IMO. It's not like Italian food. Any douschebag can make a pasta dish as good as the Olive Garden (not so great anyway) or even as good as a very highly regarded Italian restaurant, b/c the process isn't difficult, and the ingredients are easy to find.
Agreed, italian is easy, you just need good fresh ingredients, although home made pasta is hard to get the texture correct, but it is doable. Asian food is much harder for me to cook, I'll definitely get takee-outee for a few times, then try it.

It looks like Ramen that's just prettied up.

I don't think we have many Vietnamese restaurants around here... but I'll give it a try if I see one.

The biggest difference is the noodles. Ramen is wheat-based noodles, and Pho uses rice noodles.

There are lots of other differences, but I could go on forever... You definitely need to try it. Hell, everyone should, at least once. When prepared correctly, it's an amazing dish. So much more than just another noodle soup.
