Default Selling my nephews car (SOLD)

Heres the deal. My nephew The P.O.S. Moved to Idaho back with his dad and left this piece of **** car behind. Nowmy brother wants me to sell it for him so he can get another car up there.

I don't know the first thing about these Civics. I just paid $1300 for a new motor 8 months ago for the ungratefull **** now this is what Im left with. Its sitting at his friends house and Im not bringing to my house and just want a quick sell.

Only thing that isgood in my opinion is the motor. Here is the damage list. Both fenders, bumpers, trunk lid (had a wing) interior all jacked up (painted panels, got pissed and threw 2 away) pulled stereo out multiple times. paint faded and yada yada.

WHATS IT WORTH??????
2000 Civic DE (Whats a DE) I swear I only know muscle cars and can give two ****s about these style cars.

Aprox 120,000, clear title, Last registerd 1 year agoand not much more.

If it runs and drives $500. Just toss a sign for $500 firm and someone should drive it away quickly, and you should not have to deal with many tire kickers. I got rid of last years winter beater that way. I put 5 bills and when people came and asked questions i said it runs, it drives, its 500 bucks, what more do you need to know.

yank the motor and burn the P.O.S, at least you could get some of your money back by selling the motor.

Its a HOOOONDA! 500 would be giving it away, but, you would get rid of it quick. 3000 is way toooooo much for a car that doesn't even jave proper paint. if you want $$ bargain down to 1700 +- if not 500 would get rid of it with no headaches.

well it depends on what motor is in it and Auto or manual tranny

If he put a dual overhead cam motor in and its 5 spd. then its actually got "some" value

anywhere from 1500- 3000

2000 honda civic dx probably
stick or auto ?
body is in decent shape
it has aftermarket headlights
needs fenders, side skirts , some rims and a lil bit of paint here and there

do you have paper work on the new motor? how far back is the registration? that car is actually not in that bad of shape. a clean specimen of that car would go for atleast 5k easy. low miles clean title, you could easily make 3k off that. as long as it drives perfect and the interior isnt like a 5/10 i dont see why you wouldn tbe able to get atleast 3k for that.

ok i just looked at your add and you need to change some things.

DX not DE
does it have any power options ?
how is the heater/ac / power steering
any motor issues/tranny issues ?
show a picture of the interior
tell wether its a 5spd or auto in the ad.

if your nephew really is an ungrateful p.o.s i'd sell it for 500 bucks and be done with it. if your getting a cut of the money push for more.

3k.. I doubt it, with the way the market/economy is? Too many cars & not enough buyers as it is.

Plus it looks rough outside... Hows the interior? And its had a new engine.. thats a big red flag to a lot of people... did the mechanic know what he was doing?/ condition of new engine. Why did it have to have an engine swap in the first place, and I assume the same tranny was reconnected (what is the condition of that)... blah blah blah blah.. And since u said you didnt have any info to give a potential buyer, that puts u in a tight spot to be asking too much $$$

$2,500/obo to start... Thats something someone can work with for a quick sell.
