Well, you tell me what you think of the enormous changes that occured in Carrog during the last 50 years here?

I live in a part of the world that is developing very quickly. The population of my community has increased from around 40,000 to 90,000 since 1983. Places that used to be open fields have filled in with suburbs... and some of the best roads (the twisty ones) are lined with acreages. These newly "ruralized" occupants tend to drive large SUV's and pull out in the middle of every corner. My favorite section of highway has turned into a suburb, so the spirited rides of my youth can't be duplicated there without putting myself and others in jeopardy.
There is comfort in seeing a place that seems to change little through time.

Thanks alot Julet, now instead of working i get to sit at my computer and play that game where you have 2 pictures and you have to "find the differences"........i would so much rather be working on this program of instruction instead of playin games......

We have a lot of sleepy villages like this in the UK ... my own village of Bunbury is one such place too ... often people don't believe the place until they see it with their own eyes, then they never want to leave ... that bridge in the pictures is the same one that has been there since 1661

I bet you could stand on it then and see virtually the same views I was looking at ... change is very over rated in my book

In the first picture that poor poor house on the left is gone!!

Oh no, it is still there ... just a few more trees have grown around it in the last 50 years

I'd say the biggest change I can see is the picture quality
