Default Pacing Cops

Apparently is a violation of the law in North Carolina to pace a cop when he is speeding for no reason. I got on the Interstate and a cop passed by me when I got off the on ramp. He was in the fast lane doing 80 in a 65 so i just cruised behind him. He started speeding up gradually and I didn't think anything of it till we where doing a buck twenty. So I started slowing down just incase. Well he slows down and pulls into the right lane and I passed him doing about 75, which in NC you really wont get pulled over for. He pulled over fast which made me think he was getting ready to pull over the semi in front of him. Well once I passed he pulled back out and got me. He was a fairly nice dude and I was able to talk my way out of it because when I pull out my drivers license it shows my military ID. We talked for a minute about that and he asked a few questions about my bike then he let me go. I'llchaulk that one up as a close call.

You think you're pacing them... but in their mind they're pacing you. (from the front, as retarded as that sounds)

it is never a good idea to speed within line of sight of a cop.

Because they dont always use their lights when responding to calls.

So, let me try to understand here...you paced a cop all the way up to 120?? What made you think he wouldn't pull you over? Pacing to 75-80 sure, but 120?
