If you can get a gel or dry cell battery, do it. The life of those may be as much as 3x longer than a standard. Granted, price is higher.

Is It a exclusive argument or can anyone join in. I say go with the above suggestion and screw AutoZone, Wal-Mart and etc. etc. especially if you live in an area where the bike may be stored for some part of the year or for periods in my case of up to 12 to 15 months, a little more expensive, but more bang for the buck in the long run

Well, I'm happy for you guys, Auto Zone hates me. I finally went in and talked to someone at the Auto Zone in Jonesboro....the guy actually laughed at me. A little giggle under his breath when I told him what I needed. He actually questioned if I knew how to find the battery and charge it correctly.

I told him I had a battery tender on it and it still wouldn't hold a charge....******* kept on about how I must just not have it hooked up right. I finally just left....

F*ck you guys and your Auto Zone.....next time I'm making one of you come down here and deal with Jerks that think girls can't do ****.....

^ that's why I go to Advance Auto Parts. Then again, I guess they're not actually "ready in advance". If they were, they'd have my s**t on the counter waiting for me to pay for it when I walked into the store. I think I'll sue those bastards for false advertisement lmao

But I'm pretty sure the Advance Auto Parts and Autozones where I live don't carry any motorcycle-related products, either.

don't know exactly how this discussion turned into a AutoZone, advanced debate or pissing contest when the original question was which battery should I buy . If that is not correct. Please correct me .

Yeah, but it was sort of thread-jacked by laxbuellgirl, who started the thread. And it's already in the off-topic section, so it's not like it's in the wrong section. Besides, she gave us the choice between two batteries, and pretty much everyone unanimously voted "neither"

anyways, lax... who were you talking about?

And I gave you guys a choice between three batteries...

I think it really depends on the town itself, I lived right outside of Raleigh, NC going to NCSU for almost 4 years, I never had a problem finding what I needed when I was rebuilding 250s, but since I've started with bigger bikes and moved here it's like I can't find anything. Ordering offline has become my biggest source of getting the things I need. Kinda sucks when you have to wait five to ten days for a stupid screw...
