NICE! Toshiba is a great brand (I currently have the new 32" REGZA LCD in my bedroom that I use for games and such.) Best Buy employees (which I am) get a huge accommodation right now on Panasonic Plasmas, so I'm going to be picking up one of those 1080p beauties here pretty soon.

My buddy has that exact same TV. We spent about a month analyzing the different models and the Sony SXRD came out on top as far as bang for the buck. The picture is quite impressive.

What's really cool is it looks like you got this year's model for $1500. When I saw you got it for $1500 I was def thinking it was last year's model.

great buy.

Yep. Out of all the rear-projections, the Sony SXRD's have the best picture (aside from the XBR version of the SXRD's that is.) I'm not sure if it's the best picture from ALL TV's though. Out of all the rear-projections yes, but nothing can match the picture quality of a Pioneer Elite Plasma, or Sony XBR-5 LCD's.

All-in-all though, that's one sick TV.
yuh I wasn't trying to say it was the best tv out there, I was just trying to say anyone online that reviewed it said the picture was amazing and better then any tv they had owned.

Nice TV... maybe now that you have a good TV you can take the time to hide the wires for your surround sound? Or possibly go ultra-pimp and get flsuh-molunted wall speakers?

That looks great! I love HDTV, its hard to watch anything in normal definition after getting used to HD.

I only have a 27 inch 720p LCD in the room i rent, though. Its a small room in a big house, but i'm not going to buy something sweet for everyone. BUT, i have a killer 3 speaker system hooked up to it (can never get used to surround...) and my laptop so i can use it as a monitor if i want. Speaking of which, Netflix new feature Watch It Now kicksass when you have a TV to watch it on. When all my movies are in transit, i'll just browse that for something to watch, hook up the TV to the laptop and bam, tons of free movies.

yuh this is just a quick fix until we move back home and buy/build a house, then I plan on making a theater room. Kind of hard to explain to your landlord when you move out why theres a big hole in the wall where your tv used to be and 6 holes spread throughout the house.
