sony wega sxrd 50", 1080p(only thru hdmi thou) every review I read says it has one of the best pictures of any current tv ie: plasma, lcd, crt, lcos, etc, and I totally agree, got a hell of a steal too $1500 at best buy. I honestly didnt buy into the hype of HD considering I've played pc games for awhile now. Any game I played was always in 1024x768 (pretty much 720)or higher, but I believe now, the picture throu the xbox is incredible cant wait to con the fiancee into a ps3 so I can see what blue-ray looks like .

Sweeet TV!!! You're gonna love HD, I guarentee you! Only thing that sucks is the regular channels that aren't HD look like total crap... you really see the fuzzy stuff

I have a 42" Plasma with the HD through comcast... LOVE IT! Watching 'Planet Earth' on the Discovery channel was kick ***!

 

i am looking for a new tv also 1500 sound good, nothing over that, that would be a weast.

Yep. Out of all the rear-projections, the Sony SXRD's have the best picture (aside from the XBR version of the SXRD's that is.) I'm not sure if it's the best picture from ALL TV's though. Out of all the rear-projections yes, but nothing can match the picture quality of a Pioneer Elite Plasma, or Sony XBR-5 LCD's.

All-in-all though, that's one sick TV.
