I have a Teknic and I like it. But Shift does make great jackets and you can usually pick them up on sale. Icon, dont really like there style and there expensive, Alpinestars are nice, but expensive. Joe rocket has some nice jackets also

 

if you plan on canyon dancing or track riding...ever...stay away from icon.

i have an alpinestars Stage jacket

check it out, i am very happy with it so far, its perforated so it doesnt get too hot, the back part of the collar is neoprene (spellcheck?) so its nice n soft. Got zippers for pants attachment and pockets for upgrade backprotectors

i was looking at icon too before but the fit is way too loose and this one fits like a glove once its broken in

 

thats strike 3 on icon ive had two seperate dealers tell me to stay away from them, supposedly the armor is sub-par? fill me in here tahoe

well...they don't make racing line gear, just more like cruising gear...so if you want pants to match up with the jacket with pucks and all...ain't going to happen. also, their design is geared more for cruising around town rather than track riding, racing, etc...so it may not be crash worthy...

now...from my personal experience....they look very nice...like pimp...street, etc...but they are not crash worthy.

 

+1 on Alpinestars. I have TZ-1. Love it.

 

my alpinestars jacket just came in. i got the black label ice. also have a joe rocket sonic. to me both are good jackets and fit great.
