Definately can't put a passenger on the back of that one. I agree the rear swingarm and chain do look long

Think they will still make liter bikes for the street...or they will do away and make crazy 750's /800's?

Don’t worry about the liter bikes going away; they haven't been racing the 990's that long

I'd expect most of the new 800 cc engines to be more peaky than the 990 cc ones, to make up for the lost acceleration caused by the reduced displacement. That might make for some interesting handling issues and bring back some of the nasty 500cc rear tire slip and grip issues. Or maybe not - with traction control, even GP -level four strokes don't seem to have that 'on the pipe' power surge that two strokes do.

Does anyone know if there was a weight limit reduction that came along with the engine size reduction?

Oh yeah... agreed that chain looks *way* long. Longer yet on a wide-screen monitor
