^^^ I agree with you Steve about a bold wall, it can work well :-) ... I just prefer my rooms to be light and airy ... I prefer the boldness to come from furnishings and paintings etc ... I think the use of lighting can have a dramatic effect on a room too ..I hate main over head lights ..I love uplighters and lamps etc ..anything to make a room feel cosy :-)

Hehe. This is what i do everyday all day, paint inside and out. So ill not say much. Color is personal, my advice is you get what you pay for with paint.

Red in 3 coats is right if you go cheap. I can do red in 1, sometimes 2. I use Benjamin Moore Aura paints. Best of teh best Enviomental friendly low VOC paint.

Post a pic of the room in question for better advice. A lot of things come in to play like lighting and windows, size and shape, and your furniture and decor.

Quick pic of 1 of the hundred ive done. Don't have a lot of inside pics.

So give us more details for better colors advice !

But really, you get what ya pay for with paint. You want it done right with minimal coating don't get cheap paint. Also with the Aura paint i use you can go any sheen and it's still washable. Low luster, flat, semi, full gloss, doesn't matter with this paint mate, its the best and made for it.

Thanks for the advice guys. They just started framing today and I should close officially in December. We've looked a few different shades a red, and go figure my friend took my idea and painted an accent wall in his house red. I could have beat him when i saw that. Anyways we also kinda looked at a light green or blue to give it a more bright relaxed feel. The pics look great.

Hey guys, I'm moving into my first house in December, its being built still, and all the walls come plain white. I was looking at doing an accent wall or two in the living room. I was curious if anyone has done this and what colors they have done. Pics would be GRRRRRRRREEEEEEAAAAAAT!

get a girlfriend or wife for that.

you just watch football.
